ILBP is utilized to operate several foam injections at the same time, even if the pressures between the injection spots varied, using a single concentrate supply line. Inline balancing pressure proportioners of various sizes can be coupled to meet the flow requirements of each hazard location.
A single positive displacement foam concentrate supply pump, an atmospheric foam concentrate storage tank, an inline balance pressure foam proportioner, and a foam concentrate regulating valve comprise the Inline Balance Pressure Foam Proportioning System. The pressure regulating valve is installed on the foam concentrate return line to the storage tank. The valve controls the pressure of the foam concentrate supply. A ratio controller, diaphragm-operated pressure balancing valve, duplex pressure gauge and pressure sensing hose of teflon tube with stainless steel braided cover, interconnecting trim fittings with different control and flush valves comprise the Inline balance pressure proportioner.
